Hansen: "Fahrenheit-asteina ilmastonlämpeneminen tuntuu kaksinkertaiselta"

GISS´in James Hansen kertoo miksi tiedemiehillä on AGW-kommunikointiongelma:


"We scientists create a communications problem by speaking about average global warming in degrees Celsius. Global warming in degrees Fahrenheit is almost twice as large (exact factor is 1.8 ) and warming is about twice as much over land (where people live!) than over ocean"

Niinpä,alarmistien epätoivo tosiasioiden edessä syvenee ja "Mann´in tempun" lisäksi nähdään nyt myös "Hansenin temppu", annetaan lämpenemisluvut Fahrenheit-asteina Celsius-asteiden sijaan ja bingo,ne ovat 1,8 -kertaiset. Mihin vielä ehtivätkään ;-)?

Minijääkausi alkaa nyt - skeptiset tiedemiehet ennustivat tämän jo vuosi sitten !

Finnairin uusi ilme

Aatonaatonaaton (sic) aamu ja vuoden lyhin päivä valkenee - 7 C asteen pakkasessa, Ilmatieteen laitoksen ennuste tänne oli - 17 C. No, mitäs pienestä heitosta,onneksi laitos tietää 0,1 C asteen tarkkuudella lämpötilan 50 vuoden päästä ;-)!

Asiasta toiseen, mitä mieltä olette "Finnairin uudesta ilmeestä",joka maksaa 10 miljoonaa euroa? Henkilökunnan uniformuista en maallikkona vaatetusasioissa uskalla mitään sanoa,hieman "retrolta" vaikuttaa, muistelen 50-luvulla olleen tuollaista? Koneiden värityksessä kuitenkin hieman häiritsee tuo halvan näköinen jättiteksti,eikö pienempikin kirjasinkoko olisi riittänyt,maaliakin kuluisi vähemmän? Mutta,kai ne imagokonsultit tietävät mitä tekevät,jos tuo uudistus tuo lisää hyvin maksavia Kauko-Idän liikematkaajia,niin mikäs siinä.Kun vielä parantavat kaukolentojen ateriatarjontaa, vuoden takainen Pekingin lennon ainoa vaihtoehto, kasvislasagne hieman hämmästytti, ei yksin minua, kiinalainen lentoemo vastasi ihmettelyyni ystävällisellä virnistyksellä ja sanoi "Pahaa!" ;-)! Rehellisyyttä aina arvostan.

No niin, tämän vuoden pulinat on pian pidetty ja niinpä toivotan kaikille lukijoilleni Rauhallisia Pyhiä ja menestyksekästä Uutta Vuotta 2011 !

American Geophysical: Arktinen vain 1000 vuotta sitten 2-3 C astetta nykyistä lämpimämpi

Kaksikin uuutta tutkimusta todistaa keskiajan lämpöperiodista,jonka alarmistit poistavat Mann´in käyrästä, kuten myös "Maunderin minimin", "pienen jääkauden",jolloin Itämeri jäätyi ja Thamesilla luisteltiin !

Paper: Arctic Temperatures 2-3C higher only 1000 years ago
A paper presented at the American Geophysical Union meeting this week finds that Ellesmere Island in the Canadian High Arctic experienced a "dramatic" Medieval Warming Period from 800-1200 AD with temperatures 2 to 3 degrees C higher than the mean temperature of the past 100 years. Ellesmere Island was also in the news this week due to a discovery of a mummified forest where "no trees now grow" due to its "current frigid state."

"We have lately heard much of the claim that 2010 will turn out to have been “the hottest year on record”. No one has done more to promote this belief than Dr James Hansen, head of Nasa’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), responsible for one of the four main official global temperature records.
As reported by the US blogs Real Science and Watts Up With That, in a post headed “GISS temperatures out of line with the rest of the world”, the GISS record has in recent months been diverging wildly from the others. While three have shown global temperatures dropping sharply, by as much as 0.3C, the GISS figures (based, despite the link to Nasa, on surface temperatures) have shot up by 0.2C.
In a second post (“Hansen’s 'Hottest Year Ever’ is primarily based on fabricated data”), Real Science demonstrates that the parts of the world which GISS shows to be heating up the most are so short of weather stations that only 25 per cent of the figures are based on actual temperature readings. The rest are simply conjectured by GISS. This is not the first time Dr Hansen’s temperature record has come under expert fire. Three years ago, GISS was forced to revise many of its figures when it was shown that wholesale “adjustments” had been made, revising older temperatures downwards and post-2000 figures upwards"

Eli siellä missä mittausasemia riittävästi,lämpötilat ovat pudonneet jopa 0.3 C astetta ja niissä joissa NASA:n Hansenin mukaan nousua 0.2 C, on todellisia mittausasemalukemia vain 25%, loppu 75% on "työstettyjä" lukemia ! NASA GISS on jo kolme vuotta aikaisemmin joutunut korjaamaan useita lämpötilalukemiaan.
